The Monstrance Series
The Monstrance is a Catholic liturgical vessel designed to display the Eucharist outside of mass for veneration by the faithful. The design of the Monstrance is to draw attention to the Consecrated Host, which Catholics believe is the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ under the appearance of bread. Eucharistic Adoration dates back to the beginning of Christianity when hermits would pray in their individual cells in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament.
